The 2023 Whale Watching season will commence Saturday, July 29th and run through to October 31st.
ABOUT YOUR TOUR:
Taking only 20 passengers Coastal Express offer the only Whale Watching experience above and below the water.
Our underwater HD cameras live stream all of the underwater action right to your seat while brand-new hydrophone lets you to hear the whales sing as they play, making it a fully immersive experience unlike any other!
Built to the same design as offshore rescue vessels, Coastal Express’ powerful engines, rigid hull design and high back seats provide safety, speed and comfort. We get you to the open ocean quickly and provide an up-close whale watching experience that you’ll never forget.
Our knowledgeable skippers will provide you with entertaining and informative commentary whilst you witness breath-taking breaches, loud tail slaps, spy hops and penduncle throws performed by the majestic creatures!

DEPARTURE INFO:

Our Coastal Express Whale Watching tour departs daily at June to November from The Wharf Mooloolaba, 123 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, QLD, 4557.

Our vessels depart from the jetty on the river side of the Wharf complex behind the Rice Boi restaurant. You can enter The Wharf complex at the main entrance (between Flo’s Crêperie and Fudgees Lolly Shop), or through the alleyway (where Kenilworth Bakery & Local Social Café are located) and walk straight through the courtyard towards to river you will arrive at the jetty. There is also a directory located at the main entrance at The Wharf complex.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure. We will begin boarding 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to ensure we depart right on time.

TOUR REQUIREMENTS:

Passengers must be 5 years or older.
- A reasonable level of movement and agility.
- All passengers must complete a participation waiver for each guest prior to travelling. You can access the Coastal Express waiver here.
- If there are multiple people on your booking, please forward this confirmation email to the remaining party members so they can complete the waiver.
