Your experience will start in the Maxwell cellar door as you are treated to an overview of Maxwell and how we began. A short walk will take you to our winery to start your journey into the wine making process. See the where the grapes arrive, find out how they are pressed, fermented and blended to create the final wine before it is hidden away to mature.
You’ll find barrels of wine patiently waiting to be deemed ready and learn what process the winemaker goes through to make that call.
Your next stop is our 100-year-old Lime Cave – a unique and interesting part of Maxwell Wines! Not only is our Lime Cave a sought-after venue space but it is also the perfect spot to grow mushrooms. Here your mushroom picking will begin! Make sure you choose only the best, as these mushrooms will feature in your dinner this evening! With your freshly-picked mushrooms you will make your way back to cellar door to collect your risotto pack complete with recipe card prepared by Fabian Lehmann.
