Experience the tranquility and beauty of the Murray River on our self-guided Paddle ‘n’ Picnic tour. Meander
down the river exploring the long pools, fast-moving channels and a couple of small rapids along the forest-lined riverbanks. No need to worry about any logistics as we do all the organizing for you. Our 21-seater coaster bus
collects you from the Mandurah train station at 9am and transports you to the lovely Waypoints Café, located at the award-winning Dwellingup Trails and Visitors Centre for some delicious coffee and treats. From here you will get fitted out with your safety equipment and thermal wear then head to the start of the canoe experience on our
bus. You paddle the 6km downstream stopping along the way for a picnic (Thanks to Waypoints Cafe), flora and fauna spotting and a relaxing swim (depending on season) before arriving at the finish point at Dwaarlindjirraap (Baden Powell). Once finished you are transported the short trip back to Waypoints Café, where you can choose to purchase afternoon tea or freshen up using the hot water showers on site. Once ready, the group is returned to the designated drop-off point by 5pm.
Cost is $250.00 per person.
Tour price includes transport to and from Mandurah train station to Dwellingup, morning tea, canoes and required safety equipment and thermal wear, river map, 1 dry barrel per boat to store towels, water etc., riverside picnic lunch by Waypoints Café, and entry fees to Lane Poole Reserve.
Customers need to bring water, towel and a set of dry clothes (just in case).
