Lake Parramatta

Lake Parramatta is a heritagelisted manmade reservoir and popular recreational area which was built to supply water for domestic purposes. The imperial style masonry archwalled dam across Hunts Creek was completed in 1856, but became operational again in 1909. The dam has since been decommissioned and the land is now home to a nature reserve.
