DESCRIPTION
This is a personalised tour which allows you and your guests to be picked up from your location at a time that suits you. The duration of this tour is 5 hours and you will be delivered back to your collection point, or if you prefer, a different drop-off location can be negotiated.
This fabulous tour is ideal for cruise ship travellers, allowing you to see and enjoy some beautiful parts of southern Tasmania, all within the time-frame of your Hobart port visitation.
We will drive through the foothills of the Wellington range, up to the 1,271 metre summit of majestic kunanyi/Mount Wellington. Here, the views are spectacular and the air is crisp. If the gates are closed, we will go to Mount Nelson where the views are also breathtaking.
Then travelling south, we will venture to the lush Huon Valley with rolling green hills, apple, cherry and berry orchards, river, streams and mountain back-drops. Here, you will enjoy tastings of local honey at the Honey Pot, 1/2 paddle of Ciders at Willey Smith’s, and the “best apple deserts” at My Slice of Pie set in a beautiful rural landscape.
We will make our way back to Hobart for a City tour including historic Battery Point village, renowned Salamanca and the vibrant Waterfront area, home to the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
Small comfortable vehicles are used, equipped with air-conditioning, PA system and seat-belts. Your local driver/tour guide will share stories with you throughout the day and leave you with wonderful memories.
