DESCRIPTION
Cruise around part of the World’s most ancient tropical rainforest with Kuranda Riverboat’s scenic and informative water adventure. Aboard this covered open-air vessel, you’ll be taken on a journey on part of the Barron River in Kuranda to spot some of its local inhabitants and see the true beauty that Tropical North Queensland is renowned for. The Barron River is home to a range of native Australian animals including freshwater crocodiles, turtles, snakes, water dragons and fish as well as the hundreds of tropical bird species that fly around the region.
A great outing on the water for all ages to enjoy, Kuranda Riverboat’s scenic cruise along the Barron River will provide you with some amazing and memorable photo opportunities all while your guide explains some history to you about the region, its environment and the animals that have made it home. The cruise runs for 45-minutes from the designated departure point below the Kuranda Skyrail and Railway Stations. There are several departure times throughout the day aligned with the train times in the afternoon. Choose from the 10:45am, 11:45am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm or 2:30pm cruise with the final cruise returning at 3:15pm.

- Conveniently situated in Kuranda, only a few minutes walk below the Kuranda Railway and Skyrail Stations on the Esplanade of the Barron River. Access to the departure jetty is over the railway footbridge and down the stairs
