We leave the beautiful coastal town of Port Douglas, heading toward the agricultural heartland of the Atherton Tablelands, first stopping at the magnificent Rex Range lookout.

At the Granite Gorge Nature Park we get to see the open savannah country of North Queensland, enjoy the giant boulders, lovely stream and hand-feed friendly wild wallabies !!

A brief visit to this unique and fascinating Heritage Museum, with an astonishing array of artifacts bringing to life the local area’s incredibly rich and truly fascinating history. The exhibits and displays are exceptionally high quality, many of which are available thanks to the generosity of local residents.

Weather permitting, we venture on a short stroll to see the most spectacular waterfall in north Queensland. This 125 metre cascade is breath-taking in the mellow cool season, or the dramatic misty wet season.
