Day 1: Welcome to Cairns

Feel the warmth of Tropical North Queensland, as you arrive smell the sweet scent of the wet tropics and see expansive mangroves on your way into Cairns. You will be personally met at the airport by our representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. You can relax and use the rest of the day to explore your hotel and its facilities, perhaps taking a stroll around the neighborhood and central Cairns.

Day 2: Outer Barrier Moore Reef Cruise
Stop At: Great Barrier Reef, Cairns, Queensland Australia
With a range of included activities and exclusive use of our custom-designed floating pontoon, all ages and abilities can explore and enjoy the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. With clear water, colorful coral, abundant fish life, and friendly resident turtles and Maori wrasse, Moore Reef is the ultimate destination to experience all that the outer reef has to offer. Swimmers of all abilities can snorkel in the natural lagoon or stay dry with our semi-submersible and glass-bottom boat tours. You can also visit our underwater observatory to discover the world’s most impressive natural fish tank and get up close and personal with marine life in our touch tank presentations. Young kids can have fun in our enclosed ocean pool or swirl down Sunlover’s 30-meter spiraling waterslide into the tropical ocean. A trained lifeguard is always on watch from an elevated lifeguard station, and there’s easy entry to the water from two snorkel platforms, both of which are accessible by stairs.

Day 3: Kuranda Scenic Railway – Rainforest Tour – Skyrail Cableway

Kuranda, a tropical village nestled in the lush Wet Tropics Rainforest, is renowned for its bohemian charm, vibrant markets, and butterfly sanctuary. A comfortable air-conditioned coach, guided by a friendly driver, takes you on an informative journey via the historic Scenic Railway, showcasing rainforests and waterfalls. An amphibious duck provides an up-close tour of the rainforest, and in Kuranda, the famous Scenic Railway reveals an engineering marvel from 1882. Explore the ancient rainforest on an Army Duck, visit a tropical fruit orchard, and enjoy leisure time in the forest village. The return journey features a Skyrail Rainforest Cableway gondola ride with stunning views of Barron Gorge National Park and the Great Barrier Reef, allowing exploration at rainforest mid-stations. Day 4: Heading to Fitzroy Island

Fitzroy Island, a 45-minute boat ride from Cairns, hosts the family-owned Fitzroy Island Resort amid the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Surrounded by idyllic beaches and safe waters, it’s a haven for snorkeling, diving, and water sports. The island enjoys a North Queensland tropical climate with cooling South Easterly ocean breezes. Welcome Bay, sheltered by the Summit, offers ideal conditions for yachting and boating. Spanning 4 square km, 97% is National Park, featuring tropical rainforest accessible through marked walking tracks. Explore the island’s gentle, hilly terrain, reaching key sites like Welcome Bay, Nudey Beach, the Summit, and the historic lighthouse.

Day 6: Heading to Cairns & City Sights
Stop At: Cairns, Cairns, Cairns Region, Queensland
Bid farewell to Fitzroy Island with a 9:30 am boat transfer, arriving at Marlin Marina by 10:30 am. A representative will pick you up for transfer to the hotel. After leaving luggage, enjoy an early lunch before the Cairns Coach Tour and Special Sunset Dinner Cruise. The day includes visits to St. Monica’s Cathedral, Cairns Museum, and Flecker Botanic Gardens, with afternoon tea and scones. Explore scenic lookouts, Lower Barron Falls, and Palm Cove Beach. Return to the cruise terminal at 6:00 pm for the Spirit of Cairns Dinner Cruise at 6:15 pm, featuring a 2.5-hour calm water sunset cruise and a sumptuous buffet meal. Wear tropical smart attire and suitable footwear, and cherish a perfect day in paradise. The cruise returns to Cairns at 9:00 pm, with taxis and Ubers available for transportation.
