DESCRIPTION
The Koala and River Cruise is a memorable RETURN journey on the Brisbane River to the oldest and largest Koala Sanctuary in the world. The cruise travels through the city’s most historic landscapes, iconic attractions, historical home sites and interesting wildlife habitats as you listen to an entertaining and informative commentary.
- You’ll board the MV Mirimar in Brisbane’s Southbank district, and leave the city behind on a relaxing cruise to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

- Enjoy an informative commentary from your captain as you glide along Brisbane’s waterfront, passing from the bustle of the city’s skyscrapers to leafy suburbs with waterside mansions.
- Indulge in homemade morning teas, meals and snacks (at own cost) from our on-board cafe.
- VIP includes a Morning Tea on the trip to Lone Pine Sanctuary and a Cheese plate with a glass of wine or beer on the cruise back to the city.
- Arriving at Lone Pine, you will have 3 hours to explore the world’s largest Koala sanctuary, with more than 130 Koalas on site.
- Discover the Platypus House where you may get a chance to see the shy platypus, a native to Australia.
- Check out owls, kites and sea eagles soar above you at the popular Flight Raptor show.
- Feed the kangaroos and wallabies; more than 100 of them live in the 5-acre (2 hectare) reserve at Lone Pine.
- Along with koalas and kangaroos, Lone Pine hosts a sheepdog show where you see the hardworking dogs round up a herd of sheep, responding to their master’s whistles, calls and hand signals.

You’ll board Mirimar II in Brisbane’s Southbank district where you’ll find the boat at the Cultural Centre Pontoon which is located on the boardwalk in front of the Queensland State Library. Boarding commences at 8:30 and departs at 9:00am – CHECK IN is required 15 minutes before departure. arriving at Lone Pine Sanctuary at 10.15am. The return trip to the city departs Lone Pine Jetty at 1:30 pm sharp arriving back at the Cultural Centre Pontoon at 2:45 pm.

Best time to book is from 10:15 through to 10.45pm while we are at the Sanctuary.
If booked out online, there will be limited availability at the Experience hut inside the sanctuary on the day but as they do book out
quickly, we highly recommend booking online as soon as possible.
All animal encounters are booked and managed directly through the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and can not be changed or influenced
by our crew. This is a courtesy email to give our passengers the best experience possible.
Please note that there are 28 stairs to climb from the boat to the entry gates at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
