Drive over Sydney Harbour Bridge from one side to the other
Stop At: Sydney Zoo, 700 Great Western Highway Bungarribee, Blacktown, New South Wales 2767 Australia
Our first official stop halfway to the Blue Mountains is nice and early at Sydney Zoo, in the Western suburbs of Sydney, about one hour west of the busy city district.
We will arrive nice and early before the general public and school groups so that you will enjoy the quiet of feeding breakfast to the kangaroos before peak morning time.
Sydney’s newest zoo has the most Australian animals, including bull sharks, crocodile, snakes, endangered cassowary and lots more from around the world including baby meetkats, capyburra and the only rhinoceros is Sydney!
While at the zoo you will hand feed kangaroos (bring your phone and cameras for lots of photos) you will receive a digital photo with a koala, a culture demonstration by an indigenous zookeeper including artefacts that are over 65,000 years old and a live didgeridoo performance!
You will also have free time to explore the rest of the zoo, have a coffee break, restroom and snack before the one hour drive up into the mountains.

Get a burst of fresh mountain air when we visit Echo Point Lookout to see the world famous Three Sisters.
At 1,000 meters in elevation above sea level, this breathtaking view of world heritage listed Blue Mountains remains untouched for over 300 million years, older than the dinosaurs!

Leura Mall is the name of the village street in Leura Garden Village. We stop here for a lunch break and souvenir shopping (food and shopping is at your own cost).
With many options to choose from including local artisan bakery, hot gourmet pies, a pink 50s inspired diner for burgers and milkshakes, pizza by the slice, vegetarian options, kangaroo burger, chinese, freshly made juices or bring your own lunch for a picnic one of the nearby the garden playgrounds.
Time to explore and take photos around the gardens, historic church buildings and a quaint little tea pot museum.

Walk amongst the rainforest where the dinosaurs roamed millions of years ago!
Take a ride on the world’s steepest railway (it’s in the Guinness Book of records!)
Take the skyway over the valley, and get a Birds Eye view of waterfalls and native fauna untouched by human hands in millions of years!
Get back to nature with a bushwalking track to multiple lookouts named after the royals, and finish with the most instsagrammed waterfall cascades!

On we go for our final goodbye to the Blue Mountains before we head back to Sydney City. The HydroMajestic cafe and gift shop overlooks the beautiful Megalong Valley.
Have a browse around the cafe which is also a quaint little museum. Get your final pieces of souvenirs ranging from locally made honey, jams and skincare just to name a few.
Get a little snack for the ride back to Sydney!
