From there, you’ll stroll through the city centre, stopping at remarkable landmarks, architectural gems, and heritage sites. • The story of George Lansell, the candle-maker who became Australia’s “Quartz King.”
  • The Sandhurst Mining Exchange, once second only to London in trading activity.
  • Rosalind Park, once the heart of the goldfield camp and today home to leafy paths, fountains, and a colony of flying foxes.
  • Stories of the Red Ribbon Rebellion, a mass protest that changed the course of Australian history.
  • The Old Bendigo Gaol, Police Barracks and Supreme Court, where Colonial Justice was served on the Gold Fields.

The tour concludes back at the Visitor at 12pm, leaving you with time to enjoy lunch, explore the shops, or continue your Bendigo adventure.
