This 90-minute walking tour explores the best of Siding Spring Observatory with a visit inside the Anglo-Australian Telescope Visitors’ Gallery and a guided walk around the telescopes dotted along the ridge top of Mount Woorut. Your tour may include stops at the:

LCOGT – one of a global telescope network for schools
UK Schmidt – leading the way with optical technologies.
SkyMapper – mapping the entire content of the night sky each week.
Weather permitting we’ll climb the stairs of the UK Schmidt Telescope to the catwalk. Circling the telescope dome, you’ll have views to the north and east of Siding Spring Observatory.
Come and gather a deeper understanding of the explorations of our night sky, learn where the future for Australian astronomy lies and leave with an impressive view of the Warrumbungle Mountains etched in your mind.
Entering into Siding Spring before the general public, this walking tour shows off the features that make the crooked mountains of the Warrumubgle ranges.
Siding Spring Observatory is superbly placed to see this remarkable range of volcanic natural features in sharp contrast with the modern telescope domes that dot the ridgetop of this mountain.
As you walk up to the highest point of this ridge, your guide will explain the history of the site, point out some remarkable telescopes, explain the science that has taken place within the dome walls and give you lots of time to take photos of the Warrumbungle National Dark Sky Park.
At the end of the tour, you’ll enjoy morning coffee with some of the most breathtaking views of the region.

See magnificent humpback and southern right whales at play on a Sydney whale-watching cruise. From Circular Quay, this open-water cruise will take you through the entrance of Sydney Harbour and into the open Pacific in search of whales. The open-air viewing decks on board the catamaran offer unobstructed views and the best opportunities for spotting and watching the whales. Getting up close to these gentle giants of the sea is an awe-inspiring experience that you don’t want to miss. With record numbers of whales due to pass along Sydney’s coastline this migration season, there are sure to be plenty of sightings and great photo opportunities!

Starting on the coast our first stop will either be at Your Mates Brewing for a tasting paddle and a behind the scenes tour of the brewery to see how beer is made.
We then make our way up to the beautiful town of Maleny to Brouhaha Brewery for a tasty two course lunch featuring local produce, and another tasting paddle of locally crafted beer. Styles here range from sours to saisons, pale ales to stouts, and a whole range of seasonal beers.
We then make our way down the range, to Glass House Brewing who will greet us with a tasting paddle and a few stories.
Finally we drop you back to the Coast at your choice of either Sneaky Baron or TAPS Mooloolaba where you can continue your craft beer experience!
