Surf Getaways is a learn to surf and surf travel business run by women, for women. But when it comes to private surf lessons, everyone can get involved! So come on your own, or grab your partner, kids, friends or even the family for a group private lesson.

Whether you’re wanting to learn to surf for the first time or you want to improve your skills, our experienced coaching staff will tailor your sessions to meet your needs and goals, including from kids through to seniors.

Lessons are 90 mins long, held on different beaches around the area depending on the conditions.

You’ll have a private surf coach for you or your group, with no one else in the lesson.

These Private Surf Lessons in Lennox Head are for everyone, whatever your age, surf level or background. So if you’ve never been on a surfboard, or you want a few pointers to improve what you know learn from the best women around.

Everyone is welcome to join these Private Surf Lessons. Men, women, teenagers and kids.

Lessons can be from 1 person to groups of up to 4 people.
What you’ll learn:

If you’re a beginner surfer or have never surfed before, you’ll learn the basics of surfing, ocean safety and catching waves. You’ll learn board control in shallow water, paddling and catching white water waves, standing/pop-up techniques and reading the ocean (weather, tides, rips…)

If you’re an intermediate surfer already catching your own waves, you’ll work on improving your existing skills. Improve paddling and positioning techniques to catch unbroken waves, control and change the speed and direction of the board, negotiate wave zone-paddling, read the waves/surfers, and exit strategy when required.

If you’re an advanced intermediate level, a strong paddler and consistently catch unbroken waves and surf down the line, you’ll learn more advanced skills. From positioning to finding the fastest trimming line, how and when to perform turns, take off on an angle and maneuver decision-making to duck diving and advanced turtle rolls.
What’s included:

We provide beginner surfboards for intro/beginner levels. If you have your own board and would like to improve on it, we recommend you bring it.

Certified and trained surf coach.

What you need to bring: a towel, swimmers and a wetsuit if it’s in the colder months
