The launchpad for your whale watching tour, Nelson Bay is the largest town in the Port Stephens area, with easy access to cafés, restaurants and shopping, as well as sheltered beaches perfect for swimming

You will never forget seeing the awesome bulk of a humpback whale, up to 18 metres long and weighing 40 tonnes! Being the most surface active of all the whales, it is possible that you will see spectacular displays – spy hops, pectoral slaps, body rolls and … the breathtaking breach. Enjoy entertaining and informative commentary and the cruise includes bonus dolphin and outer island cruising – two cruises for the price of one! 4WD buses will transport you over the dunes to the sandboarding instructors who will teach you how to safely sandboard on the largest coastal sand dune system in the Southern hemisphere.
Stay and slide for as long as you like and return on one of the 4WD shuttle buses back to the departure point whenever you’re ready.
