DESCRIPTION
Visit Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters, a unique and immersive marine-life conversation centre located in Anna Bay, Port Stephens. Wade into the deep water lagoon to snorkel and swim with a variety of rays and stingrays as they glide around and below you.
Afterwards, you’ll head over to the shallow waters for a friendly encounter with some rays and sharks where you’ll get the opportunity to feed and pet them. With a focus on education, conservation and fun, you’ll enjoy spending time with these amazing animals with knowledgeable staff leading fascinating talks and information sessions.
Inclusions
- Entry to centre
- 30-minute guided snorkel experience with the rays
- Shallow water experience in both lagoons, with food provided for the sharks and rays
- Wetsuit and snorkel hire, plus wear and keep souvenir socks
- Experienced instructor
Time
- This experience is 2.5 hours in duration
- Please allow two hours for the shallows encounter and 30 minutes for the snorkel

What To Bring
- Shoes must be worn except when inside the water
- Swimwear is not needed for the shallows encounter, shorts or skirts (or pants you can roll up) are recommended
- Wetsuits are provided for the snorkel
- Please wear swimwear under the wetsuit

- Participants must be able to swim
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

- You must reschedule at least 24 hours in advance of your booking. Please contact the experience provider directly to reschedule
- Maximum of 10 participants per session
- Spectators are permitted from the edges but must not enter the water while the experience is taking place
- This experience operates in all weather conditions. The outdoor lagoon will only be evacuated during electrical storms
- This experience is wheelchair accessible. Entry into the shallow water is possible with assistance
