A Harbour full of Sweet Treats
Spend a few hours on our morning Sweet Treats Walking Tour tasting your way through the contrasting neighbourhoods and being introduced to the lesser-known artisans and providers of all things delightful that influence the buzz of a city we love.
Your Sydneysider guide will introduce and open doors to a community that provides a gateway into the past, present and future of Sydney Harbour.
Meandering through the passages, promenades, avenues and arteries of Barangaroo, The Rocks, Circular Quay and Quay Quarter Laneways a carefully curated tour will pair the history of Sydney with distinctive taste sensations to ensure you gain a specialist knowledge and appreciation for the passion and craftsmanship that leads to the exquisite flavours and renowned majestic views you encounter on your journey.
What happens on the tour?
Your sweet story will begin in Barangaroo where you’ll join your local tour guide and your small band of fellow foodies. Each tour has a maximum of 12 participants, letting you connect, engage and savour the moments with both the guide and the rest of the group. You’ll often find other Sydneysiders joining our walking tours, seeking a fresh sense of Sydney’s ever evolving food scene.
Your guide will get your taste buds tingling as they reveal the details of the delicious journey you are about to embark on. Once armed with this knowledge you’re ready to be immersed in the flavours, sights, smells, sounds and stories of your Sweet Treats Walking Tour!
Adventuring through Barangaroo- a landscape, reborn through the beauty which attracted those who came before, that collides with the future to sustain its intrigue, via The Rocks- where on the surface time has stood still yet the pulse of modern Sydney courses through its veins, through Circular Quay into Quay Quarter Laneways- the most recent incarnation of a Sydney neighbourhood, this journey will take you from the First Nations through colonisation to the present day enabling you to gain a greater depth of understanding of the historical significance of the Harbour and its evolving story.
Over the course of three hours, we will stroll about 4 kilometres (2.5 miles) and visit five of the most wonderful producers in Sydney.
All of our partners are Australian, and many are exclusive to Sydney, offering tailored tasting and delights, inviting you to abandon yourself to our specially prepared degustation for your Sweet Treats Walking Tour. As we arrive at each venue, you’ll spend some time getting to know your host as they share the story behind the business.
Whilst the local venues we visit will vary from tour to tour we guarantee incredible food that will seduce and stimulate your senses to match those cheeky cravings.
Where there are opportunities to purchase goodies you can take advantage of the exclusive guest discounts on offer before we compare notes on our favourite sweet treats and continue our discovery. (Please note that all tour visits are pre-planned and there is no expectation for you to purchase products.)
