DESCRIPTION
Set off for the Tiwi Islands, famous for Aboriginal Art and Culture nestled in the islands surrounding Darwin. The 2.5-hour scenic cruise will transport you through pristine waters to the Wurrumiyanga community. Upon your arrival, you’ll be treated to an official ‘Welcome to Country’ ceremony with a ritual dance and smoking ceremony.
Next, you’ll meet the artists in residence at Tiwi Designs, visit the ladies at Bima Wear and the Patakijyali museum to learn about the Tiwi Dreamtime and Tiwi Islander participation in WWII. The afternoon will be spent visiting the historic mission and the old church before jumping back on the ferry to return to Darwin.

- Between 7 and 30 days before departure – 50% of total cost
- Less than 7 days before departure – 80% of total cost
- Within 24 hours of departure or ‘No show’ – 100% of total cost
