Our journey begins as we embark on a comfortable and air-conditioned 4WD vehicle, heading towards Yellow Water Billabong. Here, you will have the opportunity to join a knowledgeable local guide for a 1.5 hour cruise. Keep your eyes peeled for the magnificent Saltwater crocodiles in their natural habitat, as well as a vibrant array of birdlife including Jacanas, Black neck storks, Brolgas, and white bellied sea eagles.
Next, we will take you on an intimate and small walking tour to explore the Aboriginal rock art at Burrungkuy (Nourlangie). As you listen to the stories shared by the local Bininj people, passed down through generations, you will have the chance to truly absorb the significance of this ancient culture. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, a breathtaking lookout to the Arnhem land escarpment awaits.
To further enrich your cultural understanding, we will visit the Warradjan Culture Center. Here, you can delve deeper into the traditional way of life and bush food of the Aboriginal Bininj people, who have thrived in this region for over 50,000 years.
