DESCRIPTION
Depart from Wildman Wilderness Lodge 1 hour before sunset and journey through stringy bark forests and savannahs to Leichhardt Point where you stop for refreshments while watching the amazing sunset over the wetlands.
Leichhardt Point provides an amazing eco-system teeming with bird life where the wetlands rise and recede with the seasons. Depending on the time of the year, the water table may be high or dry. A vast seasonal variety of flora and fauna results, including buffalo, brolga, jabiru, dingoes, whistling ducks and of course the string bark and water lilies.
Enjoy a cold beverage and cheese platter as you watch the sun finish its day and enjoy good company. You will return to the lodge just before 7pm.
This is an easy tour and suitable for all as there is no walking or climbing involved. Guests are transported to and from Leichhardt point.
This tour is available to both in-house guests and visitors.
