Begin your journey as we head South towards the stunning tropical
mountain range of Wooroonooran National park, while your local, friendly and
professional guide will point out many places of interest
and share history as well as locals knowledge.
We’ll then make our way through endless banana and sugar cane farms
before making a quick stop in the small town of Babinda, where you can try
locally famous pastries & sweets. As we set off again, we pass through
Innisfail before entering Cassowary territory.
Keep your eyes peeled as this is where we now begin our Cassowary
spotting! While you learn why the rainforest is so dependent on this very rare,
historic, flightless birds existence and many interesting facts while enjoying
afternoon tea on the pristine beach and taking in the beauty of Etty
Bay, Followed by some free time to explore the beach and surroundings at
your leisure.
Upon arrival to Paronella Park, begin your experience with a fully
guided day tour, followed by an optional tour of Queensland’s first privately
owned hydroelectricity plant. Or, if you prefer, explore the grounds at your
leisure & discover why the park was voted the number 1 must do attraction
in Queensland.
Meet your guide at the museum and take a look at the many
interesting pieces of history, before taking a leisurely stroll across the suspension
bridge and over the beautiful Mena Creek Falls to capture an amazing photo
opportunity.
After the epic photos we’ll make our way to Menu Creek Hotel,
Also voted best country pub in Queensland, where dinner (optional) will be served.
Taste some of the local beers or challenge your skills on the games tables.
After dinner, we return to Paronella Park for the
‘Darkness Falls Tour’ allowing for more spectacular photo opportunities of the
waterfalls and structures of the castles by night, Then its time to sit back
and enjoy the amazing grand finale light show.
Depart Paronella Park for one last stop – to gaze at the
beautiful stars in the clear, picturesque Queensland sky before being dropped
off at your chosen accommodation.
