DESCRIPTION
Get out of Brisbane City for the day on this fantastic tour to North Stradbroke Island. See why the island holds the title as the second largest sand island in the world with kilometres of pristine, secluded beaches and plentiful marine and wildlife. North Stradbroke Island is located 40 minutes from Brisbane and the tour will commence with transfers from the city at Roma St at 7.30am to Cleveland where you will catch a vehicle ferry over to the island and begin your adventure. The island is rich in natural beauty and Aboriginal cultural heritage. Among the stops on the island that you will visit is the Brown Lake- a natural perched lake that is stained by tea trees. Another highlight of the tour is the impressive walk around the headland at North Gorge. From here you will be truly amazed by the pristine, turquoise blue waters, golden beaches that are just a short distance from Brisbane city.
This is the place to see marine life with turtles, stingrays and dolphins regularly spotted here. In the winter months, whales can also be seen migrating north past the island. Lunch is included in the tour and you will continue the day searching for kangaroos and koalas that live on the island. Finally, you will also have the chance to see the Myora Freshwater Springs and enjoy time on the many stunning beaches including Cylinder, Home, Deadman’s and Frenchman’s Beach. The tour will return to Brisbane at 5.45pm. See for yourself why this is one of Queensland’s favourite island destinations.
