DESCRIPTION
Departing Cairns, get set for an immersive cultural day tour that will see you walking a coastal beach with local tribes, indulging in a lunch at a local hotspot and cruising the Daintree River all in one day! After an enjoyable drive north, dip your toes into the sand at the first stop as you meet and walk with an local elders.
Be introduced to traditional fishing activity and learn to handle and throw a spear fish. Practice your aim as you learn more about the local area, wildlife and the special connection to the mangroves and land. A homemade damper is served at the end of your beach walk.
Next, you’ll visit a famous bakery in North Queensland and pick from a selection of burgers or sandwiches for lunch in the town of Mossman. The tour wraps up in the afternoon with a tranquil Daintree River Cruise aboard the ‘Solar Whisper’, a zero emission boat that glides quietly up to the crocodiles without disturbing them or their habitat.
