Snorkel with the ever inquisitive Dwarf Minke Whales, over 5 days/4 nights aboard our private charter vessel Argo Expeditions. We are excited to offer you the opportunity to swim and snorkel with minke whales during an eye-opening five-day trip on the Great Barrier Reef.
Spanning up to eight metres and weighing several tonnes, Minkes are one of the most majestic creatures in the sea. They are known to be incredibly inquisitive and will often linger in an area for a number of hours, allowing you to appreciate their beauty up close.
Our permit allows for 12 people to be in the water at any one time with the minke whales. Due to the small group we take to the reef, this means we can have an ‘open deck’ policy and you can swim and snorkel with them all day if you want to! No waiting your turn; you can jump right in!
Our bespoke dive excursions also include scuba diving, offering a personalised and immersive way to experience the reef’s vibrant marine life. From pristine coral gardens to encounters with majestic sea turtles and exotic fish, every dive is tailored to reveal the reef’s hidden treasures while prioritising your safety and enjoyment.
Designed for divers of intermediate level, our trips will visit world renowned dive sites such as Steve’s Bommie, Lighthouse Bommie, Pixie Pinnacle, and Challenger Bay just to name a few. Dive sites are carefully selected each day to showcase the reef’s diverse ecosystems in optimal conditions, ensuring a memorable and intimate experience. Utilising our private guides helps to keep you away from the bustle of large groups.
Relax and recharge between snorkelling or dives aboard a spacious comfortable vessel, where you’ll enjoy freshly prepared meals and snacks from your private chef.
