Pass By: Great Sandy Strait, Australia
After leaving the marina you are transported through the Great Sandy Strait Marine Park which is home to resident dolphins, dugong, fringing reef and turtle habitats. It extends to Rooneys Point at the far northern end of Fraser Island(K’gari)
Pass By: Pelican Banks, Australia
Pelican bank or Moon Point Bank is a white sandy cay where pelicans and other birds come to roost at night so they don’t get eaten by the dingoess on the island. It is also a roosting spot for migratory birds. Locals often visit the island to picnic and swim in the crystal clear water.
Pass By: K’gari (Fraser Island), K’gari (Fraser Island), Fraser Coast, Queensland
You will cruise the western beaches of K’gari(Fraser Island) from Moon Point to Platypus Bay. Our Skipper will let you know many interesting historical and interesting facts about the island and water way. We will search for dolphins, Humpback Whales, turtles and dugong. Morning tea is served as we pass by Moon Point. Digoes may even be seen along the beaches searching for food.
The high arch cliffs seen along the western beaches offer wonderful photographic opportunities.
Pass By: Platypus Bay, Australia
This is where the whales may come to rest and play. Lunch is usually served while cruising the vast area of the bay at the northern end of K’gari. This area is well known by local fishers for baby blue marlin, trevally, mackeral and many species of reef fish. It is a pristine environment which is not often visited by vehicles and campers.
