Time
- Flight times are planned for up to 1 hour in the air but vary between 40 minutes and 60 minutes depending on the weather
- Flight departure times vary between 3am and 5am depending on the time of the year. Departure times are subject to change depending on the dawn time (you will be required to contact the balloon operator the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time and pick up time)
Duration
- Flight times are planned for up to 1 hour in the air but vary between 40 minutes and 60 minutes depending on the weather
- Please allow up to 4 hours for the whole hot air balloon experience
- The time will be confirmed by the pilot the night before your flight. We meet approximately 1.5hrs prior to sunrise.
Departure Location
- Main departure point for guest pick up is Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, 71 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach (you will be required to contact the balloon operator the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time and if you would like to be picked up from this location)
Additional Information
- Clothes suitable for walking or hiking is recommended with enclosed shoes. We suggest you also bring a jacket, hat and sunglasses as well as your camera
- As part of the fun adventure, customers are invited to help roll out the air in the balloons. If you do not wish to participate, that is totally fine
- Children need to be 3 years old or over and accompanied by a parent or guardian to fly
- There is no upper age limit. As long as you are fit and healthy with no significant knee, hip or back problems, no recent surgeries or broken bones and you are not currently pregnant, you are fit to fly
Cancellation Policy
Flight cancellation by Customer
- Within 48 hours prior to a flight no changes are permitted – passengers are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances including being unwell to fly due to illness. Under no circumstances will flights be refunded or re-scheduled if passengers cancel their ballooning within 48 hours of flight
- Between 48 hours and 7 days prior to rescheduling a flight – a $50 per person rebooking fee will be charged; weekday flights will need to be re-scheduled on a weekday flight only, excluding public holidays. Bookings cancelled up to 7 days prior to a flight date cannot be refunded
- Beyond 7 days of flight date bookings can be altered – a $25 rebooking fee will be charged per booking; weekday flights will need to be re-scheduled on a weekday flight only, excluding public holidays. Bookings cancelled beyond 7 days prior to a flight date can be refunded and a $50 administration fee will be retained. Under no circumstances will any previous rebooking fees be refunded, only the original ticket amount can be considered refundable
- You will lose the full cost of your flight if you fail to show for your flight no matter what the reason. Strictly no refunds
Flight cancellation by Operator
- In the unfortunate event that a flight must be delayed, rescheduled or cancelled due to any factor, the operator will hold payment and offer alternative dates
- If your flight has been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, please contact the operator as soon as possible to rebook. The operator will not accept any liability for travel, accommodation, inconvenience or other costs incurred or lost through such cancellation. International, interstate and country visitors should factor the possibility of short notice cancellation
- Rebooking must be done within 12 months of the first cancelled flight date. Rebooking a flight date is subject to availability. There will be no refunds for any bookings held for longer than 12 months, this will be at the discretion of the operator and additional fees may apply
- Where flights have been cancelled by the operator and should the customer be unable to re fly, a full refund will be offered
- Being a weather dependant activity please be aware it can take several attempts to fly
Booking Information
- It is your responsibility to ensure you have received booking confirmation details of your flight. Please contact the operator immediately after your purchase and the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time and pick up time
- For your information, complete Tour Operator Information including contact details are included on your tour voucher
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on the day of the tour. Vouchers presented on a mobile device are also accepted
