DESCRIPTION
Take a thrilling Noosa Stand Up Paddle eco Adventure to Sunshine Coast’s hidden tropical wildlife paradise, Double Island Point. The spectacular wind swept coloured sand cliffs protect many of the flat water lagoons and much of Honeymoon Bay making for an ideal natural environment to explore and experience the local wildlife on a guided stand up paddle lesson.
DOUBLE ISLAND POINT:
Located within Noosa’s Great Sandy National Park and can only be accessed by 4X4 along Teewah Beach around the low tide. The location is typically remote, uncrowded and perfect for stand up paddling with crystal clear flat water lagoons and a super long sandy point break ideal for beginners, intermediate and advanced exploring the Marine Park or looking to take the next step into the waves. If your already well advanced in stand up paddling then why not come and explore the magical waters of Honeymoon Bay in Noosa’s pristine Great Sandy National Park.
Expect to see many of the local wildlife on your stand up paddle tour with six of the world’s seven marine sea turtle species found here including the Green Sea turtle, Loggerhead and Hawksbill. Often with an excellent view on stand up paddle they can be seen feeding and resting in the shallows. Rays, Bottlenose dolphins, many different bird species, Humpback whales (over 35000 to pass this season) and soldier crabs in their thousands are also all frequent here.
ITINERARY (Day trip):
- Depart Noosa in specialised 4WD vehicles from pick up points.
- Travel via Noosa North shore ferry and onto the pristine Teewah Beach.
- Spectacular Great Beach Drive experience passing the stunning famous Rainbow Beach coloured sand cliffs.
- Arrive at Double Island Point > Pristine National Park tropical paradise.
- Equipment set up and safety/instruction briefing on the beach.
- Fun stand up paddle instruction by fully qualified, friendly instructors (only fully guided for groups up to 4+)
- Cruise the shallows spotting turtles and rays and other amazing marine life
- Light snacks & refreshments provided.
- Return trip along the Great Beach Drive back to Noosa.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
4WD Great Beach Drive experience, guided instructions prior to SUP boarding, then exploring the lagoon at your own pace (only guided for groups of 4+).
Specialised stand up paddle boards, wetshirt/ wetsuit), National Park entry fees, light snacks & refreshments.
WHAT TO BRING: towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, water, camera and some extra food is recommended.
(It is a requirement that all food, littler and any other waste are taken with you out of the National Park on completion of your visit)

On booking please select closest pick up from your accommodation, if driving from outside Noosa The J Theatre is best option with plenty of free parking.
If you need to change the pick up location on your booking later that is ok please be mindful you must contact us at least 24 hours prior to the tour’s departure to change this. Please meet 15 minutes before departure at your pick up point.

Departure times from Noosa vary daily and are set around the low tide to access Double Island Point along Teewah beach. Please simply select the date to see specific daily departure times as each day can be different. Please allow 6 hours from pick up to drop off.
