DESCRIPTION
Itinerary
From Mission beach, enjoy a beautiful 60-minute drive to the Tully River. You will follow the winding Tully Gorge Road into Tully Gorge National Park, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wet Tropics. At the launch site on the river, your guide provides equipment and instruction for your rafting trip. Start in a calm section of the gorge, then test out your skills on a set of small rapids with your guide there to assist at every step. As you go along, the rapids get bigger, with stretches of calm water separate each group of rapids. You might see Ulysses butterflies, rainbow bee eaters, and birds of prey as you float through rain forests that have been around for several hundred million years. At the end of your rafting trip, jump in your vehicle for return to your accommodation.
