DESCRIPTION
If you’ve ever wanted to be an explorer discovering new and endangered species, this is your opportunity as we penetrate deep into the remote headwater region of the Dawson River in the ancient Carnarvon Ranges and map the biodiversity we find. Much of the amazing natural environment here is undisturbed and unexplored. Our previous expeditions have already found a new species of bottlebrush and revealed range extensions for a number of other wildlife.
Guests on this expedition, which takes place on the vast privately-owned Wallaroo property, will be the first ever to do biological surveys in this stretch of the river and we will seek to unlock its secrets both on land and in the water. We will search for threatened species such as the glossy black-cockatoo and greater glider, while also documenting all the other plants and animals we encounter, including selected invertebrate groups.
