DESCRIPTION
Adventure through the world’s largest sand island to explore the beautiful K’Gari Fraser Island on a 2 day camping safari with return transfers, ferry fees, camping equipment and meals provided. Go where dingoes roam, see rainforest grow from sands and swim in the abundance of crystal clear waters that dot the landscape. Travellers will also cruise the 75 Mile Beach, relax at Lake McKenzie and reconnect with nature on relaxing strolls at Central Station and Eli Creek.
Led by expert guides, learn about the traditional home of the Butchella people with insightful knowledge about the local culture and history shared. Dive into an early dinner and a relaxing evening by the fire. If the skies are clear, you may even be treated to your very own ‘K’Gari Star Show’. The adventure continues on day two with a visit to the Maheno Shipwreck and the Southern Lakes Circuit. Squeezing in multiple surprises including world heritage sites, native wildlife and awe-inspiring scenery – this jam packed two day adventure is not to be missed!

Itinerary
Day One
- Meet at Freedom Rainbow Beach at 7:00 am, before a short drive to the barge (ferry)
- Arrive on the world’s largest sand island, traverse the eastern beach – Fraser Island’s own highway (speed limits apply)
- Highlights for the day include K’Gari Beach (75 Mile Beach), Boorangoora (Lake McKenzie), Pile Valley
- Enjoy an early dinner and a relaxing evening by the fire. If the skies are clear, your guide will walk a short distance into the darkness to provide you your very own ‘K’Gari Star Show’
Day Two
- Arise in the morning for a quick breakfast
- Travel to the SS Maheno Shipwreck for a few photo opportunities and a short history lesson covering this famous Fraser icon
- Continue to Eli Creek, a beautifully clear creek perfect for another relaxing swim
- Visit Central Station before travelling along the Southern Lakes circuit to check out Lake Birrabeen
- Begin the drive down the beach heading back to the barge

- Meet your guide and vehicle at Freedom Hostel, 20 Spectrum Street, Rainbow Beach, QLD 4581.
- Trip commences from Rainbow Beach on day 1 at 7:00am and finishes in Rainbow Beach on day 2 at approx 3.30pm.

- Please note that this tour is a 4WD experience, which may not be suitable for all travellers
- Ages: 6yrs – 60yrs
- The capacity of this tour will be 28 pax
- Please note: the tides will dictate your arrival time onto the island, so the tour may include a ‘surprise’ on the mainland, before heading on the barge to K’Gari. Tides and weather may also dictate the order of the itinerary activities. Your guide will advise of the planned itinerary and the day’s activities at the start of the tour.
- Due to variations in tides and weather, there will be times when your guide will change the order of the itinerary to maximise your adventure. Estimated return time to Freedom Rainbow Beach is between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
