Aquatic and Island adventure!
Escape to an Island Paradise! Let ‘Beachcomber Charters’ take you on the only Boat Tour from central Surfers Paradise to a remote part of South Stradbroke Island, the Gold Coast’s best kept secret – a place known as ‘Tipplers’.
This exclusive small group tour is limited to 12 guests per day due to the pristine environment of South Stradbroke Island. Guests enjoy a one-hour (25-kilometer) boat trip past the sights of Surfers Paradise’s famous high rises, glamorous homes, marinas, and theme parks, north into the waterways and wilderness of Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park to our destination on South Stradbroke Island.
South Stradbroke Island is the most southern sand island in Moreton Bay and is a 22km long protected Conservation Park managed by The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
Once arriving at Tipplers guests have two hours to enjoy this piece of Paradise. Guests can choose to relax or to join our guide on the ‘Tipplers Walking Trail’. This is a 45-minute guided walk – suitable for most fitness levels – that leads visitors across the island through a beautiful dense forest of Australian native vegetation species to the remote eastern beach. Here the only other visitor may be a wallaby or two!
This isolated eastern beach of South Stradbroke Island is the perfect spot to take a photo to the south of Surfers Paradise in the far distance. It is also the perfect vantage to spot the migrating whales during the winter months.
We supply guests with a Picnic Basket containing a Cheese & Fruit Platter to enjoy at the numerous park tables, or spread out the picnic rug (we provide these as well) to relax under a shady tree or beachside.
Guests are welcome to order further food or a drink from the Tipplers Café.
There’s an hour of relaxation time at Tipplers Cafe – post walk – before the return boat cruise.
Wildlife Experience.
On our cruise through to South Stradbroke Island, we will be on the lookout for a variety of Australian wildlife including marine-life such as dolphins, turtles, and dugongs. Stunning birdlife also call this area home; species such as Pelicans, White-bellied Sea Eagles, black swans and more – we will be sure to point these out to you as we see them!
Visitors to South Stradbroke Island may be fortunate to spot the striking golden swamp wallaby or even species such as goannas which are some of the wildlife that call this Island home.
All Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service fees are included in the tour price & help to maintain this piece of paradise.
