Our first stop is in the quaint town of Auburn, with heritage listed stone buildings and cellar doors. We taste the products of the small winemakers of the Clare Valley, wander through the local antique shops and indulge in morning tea.

Stop At: Mintaro, Mintaro, South Australia
Our next stop will have you firmly amongst the rolling vineyards of the Clare Valley. Mintaro is a historic town, the first to be listed as a State Heritage Area in South Australia. Step out of the Bums on Seats Tours bus and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Stroll amongst the historic buildings including a pub, post office and shops, or visit the Georgian style Martindale Hall, a sandstone mansion built in 1880. Martindale Hall is now a museum where you can wander the halls, exploring this historic building.

Stop At: Sevenhill Cellars, 111C College Road, Sevenhill, Clare, South Australia 5453 Australia
We are then off to visit the Sevenhill Cellars, run by the Jesuit Brothers. Sevenhill was the first winery in the Clare Valley and is today one of the country’s oldest wineries. Visit the old stone winery and cellar door, St Aloysius’ Church, spacious gardens and taste some of the most highly regarded wines in both Australia and overseas.

After a big morning, we visit the beautiful Skillogalee restaurant and winery where you can indulge in a gourmet lunch is under the olive groves (a main meal and a glass of wine per person).
After lunch, and if time permits, we travel next door to taste the fine wines of Kilikanoon Wines with winemaker, Kevin Mitchell.

Stop At: Kapunda, Kapunda, South Australia
Our trip back to Adelaide takes us through the old copper mining town of Kapunda, where if time allows, we stop for a drink or afternoon tea at the old Kapunda Hotel.
