Held at the convict-built Dysart House, home of Old Kempton Distillery, this immersive tour takes guests through the historic mansion and its grounds under the soft glow of lanterns. As you explore the halls, staircases, and stories etched into the sandstone, you’ll uncover the darker side of the house’s long and colourful past — with tales of convicts, caretakers, unexplained events, and the spirits that may still linger.
Each guest is welcomed with a complimentary dram of Old Kempton whisky to enjoy as the tour begins — a warming companion to the chilling tales and cool evening air. Important Information for Your Ghost Walk Tour
At Old Kempton Distillery, we invite you to uncover the shadows of Dysart House — come rain, hail or starry night. Please dress for all weather conditions, as tours proceed regardless of what the skies bring. A raincoat or umbrella is always a good idea.
Please note: it gets very cold at night, especially around the sandstone buildings. We strongly recommend dressing warmly — layers, coats, scarves, and gloves will keep the chill at bay as you explore the grounds after dark.
For your safety and comfort, flat, enclosed footwear is essential. Heels, sandals, or thongs are not permitted during the tour.
Zero Tolerance Policy – Alcohol & Substances
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, we have a strict zero tolerance policy regarding intoxication. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be refused entry without refund. Please do not bring alcohol or substances on site.
Booking Conditions
All bookings are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash.
Child Participation
The Ghost Walk Tour contains adult themes and may not be suitable for all children. Parental guidance is recommended for ages 12 and up. Please use discretion if your child is sensitive to scary stories, nightmares, or afraid of the dark. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. A hot chocolate will be provided to all children.
