DESCRIPTION
Explore stunning larapuna / Bay of Fires, over four fantastic days of beach walking and sightseeing.
Enjoy spectacular beaches interspersed with bright orange lichen covered boulders and take the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Tasmania’s East Coast.
This itinerary incorporates some of the state’s most stunning coastal scenery, and is almost exclusively beach walking. You will pass granite headlands, whilst zigzagging through native heath country on the lookout for local fauna.
Departing Launceston – we visit the historic lighthouse at Eddystone Point, Anson’s Bay, and the sweeping Bay of Fires Conservation Area. This is an active, yet relaxing escape to a very peaceful part of the world.
Please note our itinerary may change from time to time on account of inclement weather. In such conditions our walk for day 4 will be relocated to the most sheltered Dora Point – Skeleton Bay, taking in another equally stunning stretch of coastline.
In addition – each day’s walking can also be shortened for anyone seeking a slightly easier/abbreviated itinerary. Please feel free to discuss such options with your guides.
