Your Gunditjmara cultural guide will take you on a 2 hour informative walk around Tae Rak (Lake Condah) and the wetlands. The lake is made up of 1,700 hectares of significant wetlands and stony rises right next to the historic lava flows of Budj Bim National Park.
Walk to the front of the lake where your guide will give you an overview of the Gunditjmara story of the lake and point out its extensive marine and birdlife.
Continue on with a walk to the south-western side of the lake and a more detailed cultural talk, and a look at the extensive range of stone aquaculture sites, stone walls, remnants of Aboriginal stone houses, and the birdlife and other wildlife.
Tour Fee Includes:
Gunditjmara Aboriginal guide, transport, activities and access fees.
Child age 4 ~ 13 years. Adults 14 and above.
Transfers to and from the Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre & Cafe are included.
