Welcome to Overnewton Castle a Scottish Baronial style Homestead, situated in Keilor Village, 20 mins drive from Melbourne CBD. You are invited to take a trip back in time, with our knowledgeable tour guide, who will lead you through the upper and lower levels of the estate, and it’s stunning gardens.
Built by William Taylor in 1849, a prominent early settler, the venue still features much of it’s original fixtures, and has been carefully maintained for 175 years. This is a truly fascinating journey back in time, where you will get to know that families that lived on the estate, and learn about Keilor’s busy history as a key stopover during the Goldrush era of the 1850s.
