Enjoy the best of the Australian snow season at Victoria’s picturesque Lake Mountain, the closest snow resort to Melbourne, you can enjoy the snow, explore waterfalls and visit a Chocolaterie all in the same day. Wildlife Tours Australia’s Lake Mountain one-day tour will take you on a full day adventure to see some of the best sights in Victoria. The day will begin with a three-hour stay atop Lake Mountain. Once on the mountain, you’ll have time to marvel at the beauty and revel in snow play, jump on the thrilling flying fox or tube runs, shoot down exhilarating toboggan slopes and explore the network of world-class cross-country ski trails. Following your trip to the snow, you’ll travel to Marysville to explore its giant, cascading waterfalls. Home to Steavenson Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in all of Victoria, you’ll be in awe as the rushing water moves down 5 cascades and falls a total of 122 metres. While in the Marysville area you’ll be given the chance to embark on a nature walk along the river for beautiful views of the region and of the large waterfall.
As the day begins to conclude, you’ll move towards your final and most delicious stop on the agenda. Passing through the aromatic Yarra Valley, you’ll make a stop at the famous Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice-creamery for some delicious free samples. While you taste the local creations, you’ll be able to watch the chocolatiers at work, mixing and creating the chocolate that you are sampling, which will make it taste all the more better.
All guests are asked to come prepared with comfortable clothing and of course, a camera. Winter attire including a waterproof jacket, long pants, closed in shoes, gloves and beanies are advised if you want to stay as warm as you can be while in the snow. The last prerequisite for the tour is a sense of adventure, which once you’ve boarded the tour bus, will be bursting to come out! The tour runs from June until September daily departs at 8am and returns around 5:30pm. All entry fees are covered in the total price as well as hotel pick ups and drop offs and leadership from a friendly and informative guide.

Additional Information
- Snow equipment hire can be arranged on arrival to Lake Mountain and is at own expense
- Infants aged 0 to 4 are not permitted to travel on adult laps and must be safely restrained within a child protective seat. Infant protective seats are free of charge and must be requested at time of booking
- In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider
- An alternate schedule route may operate during extreme weather conditions
