In this exclusive experience, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Melbourne Zoo’s three resident orangutans: Malu, Kiani, and Gabby. Delve behind the scenes to discover how our dedicated rangers care for these incredible “man of the forest” creatures and the challenges they face in the wild.
Watch in awe as our orangutans undergo a training session with our rangers, showcasing their intelligence and unique personalities. Then, venture up to the rooftop of Orangutan Sanctuary and observe the orangutans foraging for their food, as they would in the wild. You may even see a sneak peak of their neighbouring residents – the siamangs.
Learn about Zoos Victoria’s palm oil campaign, aimed at reducing the impact of unsustainable palm oil products on orangutans and their habitat.
