DESCRIPTION
Bike Hire – Self Guided Bike AdventureEnjoy an adventure with friends or family on E bikes, explore the stunning coastline of the most southern point of the Mornington Peninsula. These advanced bikes will assist in cruising you through Quarantine Station, passed secluded beaches and up to visit the forts at the far end of Point Nepean with ease.
Hire Details:Pick up your E-bikes from our bike shop inside Point Nepean National Park, approximately 1 km from the park entrance. Follow the signs to the Quarantine Station carpark, head towards the water and we are located on the right next to the Parks Victoria Information Centre. Once checked in you will be given a detailed explanation on how to use the bikes, what to see in the local area and a QR code to assist you with directions through the National Park. A helmet and bike lock will be provided before departure to allow you to stop to see the sights along the way, enjoying the scenery at your own pace.
Bikes available for 14 YEARS AND ABOVE – 14-16 year old’s to be accompanied by an adult, these bikes can be dangerous, if used unsafely.
If you haven’t used an E-bike before please inform us before departure, so we can ensure you have a good understanding of how the bike works before you depart
Location:
Bayplay Bike Shop – Point Nepean National Park
DurationThe total distance is about 8km from the Bayplay Shop to the last Fort at Point Nepean. 2-3 hours is usually enough time to explore the park with a bike, with breaks in between.
Hire Times:We run a morning and afternoon session as per the schedule, extended times must be requested and approved.
Inclusions:1x E-bike, 1x Helmet, 1x Bike lock and Downloadable Pt Nepean National Park map and points of interest.
What to Bring/Wear:Please bring a backpack for all your personal items – camera, phone, purse/wallet, sunscreen, water, snacks etc.
Best to wear comfortable lightweight clothing for exercising/bike riding in, a hat, sunglasses and enclosed shoes are essential.
Participant Conditions:This is a self-guided experience, there is no guide with you. It is recommended that participants are very confident on a bike. if you are NOT confident, we suggest that you upgrade to our guided experience or explore the flat sections of the national park, this includes up to Observation Point and around Quarantine station.
