DESCRIPTION
Day 1: Perth Check In/Meet and Greet
Check in to your accommodation at Spinner’s Hostel Northbridge, with a meet and greet with your guide and co travellers. Single rooms can be arranged by the guests directly with Spinner’s Hostel upon arrival or pre arranged.

Day 2 – Perth to Kalbarri
This morning you will be picked up from your accommodation at 7 am to begin your West Coast expedition. Heading north out of Perth, our first stop is the Pinnacles (Nambung National Park), followed by lunch at Port Denison. Jumping back on the bus, we continue to Geraldton, followed by the Pink Lake at Port Gregory. Arriving in Kalbarri, we will take in the sunset overlooking the cliffs.

Day 3 – Kalbarri to Monkey Mia
Getting an early start is rewarding this morning, with a beautiful view of the Kalbarri Skywalk. Exploring Kalbarri National Park, we will enjoy some of Western Australia’s most picturesque hikes, including Nature’s Window and the Z Bend. The next stop of the journey is the stromatolites at Hamelin Pool, ancient structures giving insight into what life on Earth was like 3.5 billion years ago. Arriving at Monkey Mia in the late afternoon, you can settle in and enjoy the evening.

Day 4 – Monkey Mia to Coral Bay
Following breakfast, we will meet the local dolphins for feeding time and enjoy a walk along the beach. You will have time to explore Denham while your guide restocks supplies before continuing onto Eagle Bluff, followed by Carnarvon. Our evening destination, Coral Bay is one of Western Australia’s favourite coastal locations, and ours as well!

Day 5 – Coral Bay to Exmouth
Following breakfast, you will experience an amazing day on the water with Coral Bay Eco Tours, exploring the vast marine life, snorkelling, and swimming with manta rays. Returning to the vehicle late afternoon, we have some downtime on the bus for the ~2-hour drive to Exmouth.

Day 6 – Exmouth
An early start today, with a scenic 3km hike of Mandu Mandu Gorge followed by an amazing snorkelling experience at Turquoise Bay. Seasonal Option: Whale Shark tour (please contact us for more information). After a visit to the lighthouse, we head back to Exmouth in the late afternoon and explore the local area, followed by dinner.

Day 7 – Exmouth to Karijini
Following an early breakfast, we embark on the biggest drive day of the expedition. Travelling through the vast Pilbara, you will pass through countless cattle stations and picturesque landscapes, stopping along the way. Arriving in the late afternoon, settle into the surrounds of Karinjini National Park and the Karinjini Eco Retreat cabins.

Day 8 – Karijini
Take a step back in time and immerse yourself surrounded by a 2.5-billion-year-old landscape in Western Australia’s second largest national park, Karijini. Setting off early with a packed lunch, embark on a near full day ~6km hike of Dales Gorge, including Fern Pool, Fortescue Falls and Circular Pool. With the entire day set aside, enjoy relaxing swims, breathtaking photo opportunities and rewarding walks. Returning late afternoon, settle in for the evening and take in the breathtaking night sky.

Day 9 – Karijini
Our second day in the park will be spent exploring Hancock Gorge and Kermit’s Pool and Weano Gorge and Handrail Pool, along with Oxer Lookout.

Day 10 – Karijini to Pardoo Station
After an early start, enjoy a short but rewarding hike into Hamersley Gorge before continuing onto the mining export town of Port Hedland to restock supplies and view the busy port, full of iron ore ships. The final leg for the day takes you to Pardoo Station, where the coast meets the red pindan soil. Settle into the last night of the tour and enjoy a few drinks around the campfire.

Day 11 – Pardoo Station to Broome
Following breakfast, loading the vehicle and a stroll along the beach, the final leg of the expedition takes you north into Broome. Arriving mid-afternoon, your guide will take you down to Cable Beach for sunset, followed by dropping off to your Broome accommodation.
