DESCRIPTION
Join Alison from Forest Explorers to take you on the Collie Mural Trail, the trail is a world class outdoor art experience for everyone. Each mural tells local stories and you can hear the stories directly from a ‘local’ about how the murals came about, the story in the story of the mural and the artist and a snap shot of what the town of Collie was like in days gone by. There is something for everyone, there is time to reflect on how mining, timber and industry has shaped Collie and the impacts of change on the locals who live here.
We start and meet at the Wagon in the Park, exploring the ‘town center’ murals, meet Collie local Alison Melvin. The tour takes approximately 1.5hours. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, wear suitable clothing and a hat, water.
You can continue your trails tour by joining our Wonderful Wellington Tour to view the murals on the ‘other side of town’ and on to the Wellington National Park to see the Worlds Biggest Dam Mural. We can package all this up for you.
