Yahava Koffeeworks:
A stop at Yahava Koffeeworks in Margaret River is the perfect start to the journey, as it’s sure to give you plenty
of energy for the exciting day ahead. Yahava is a well-loved, local WA company that sources coffee beans from all around the globe. They offer a range of different coffees for you to try on their tasting benches, and an expert will walk you through the options while explaining how each cup is brewed – you can even watch the beans
being freshly roasted right in front of you while you indulge in the sweeter side of coffee.
McHenry Hohnen:
Our southernmost and certified biodynamic vineyard is blessed with cooling Southern Ocean influences, a northerly aspect, plenty of sunshine and free-draining, ironstone gravel loam soil. The vineyard is located in the headwater of the Chapman Brook, near Witchcliffe in the south of the Margaret River region. The vines grow on a north facing slope in ironstone gravel over a strong clay base which provides good drainage and a basis for healthy and strong growth. Hazel’s vineyard forms the backbone our portfolio with planting of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot, Grenache, Petit Verdot and Mataro. McHenry Hohnen’s winemaking facility is located at Hazel’s Vineyard.
Vasse Felix:
You will spend a relaxing couple of hours enjoying seated wine tasting a three-course lunch accompanied with
two glasses of wine paired with your meal.
West Winds Distillery/Tavern:
West Wind Distillery have been distilling since 2014, It’s the perfect place to
not only learn how we distill and craft our spirits, but you’ll also get the full tasting experience from right across our range. Whether it’s our unique Australian gins, vodkas or whisky, you’re sure to discover a tipple that captures and ignites all of your senses.
Itinerary:
Pickup From Your Accommodation:
To make the early morning start a bit easier for you, we pick you up from your accommodation or nominated meeting point(within the Margaret River region).
Yahava Koffeeworks:
Our first stop is Yahava for a coffee tasting that will energise you for the day ahead.
McHenry Hohnen:
Visit the winery vineyard – enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard and indulge in a glass of wine and nibbles. Venture on to the cellar door where you will taste the fruits of the harvest, premium wines with minimal intervention along with complimentary meats/cheese and crackers and receive a gift of two bottles of wine from the Rocky Road range.
Vasse Felix:
You will spend a relaxing couple of hours enjoying seated wine tasting and three-course lunch accompanied with two glasses of wine paired with your meal.
Margaret River Chocolate Factory:
It’s time to cleanse your palate after all that wine tasting, so you will discover some fine chocolates and other confectionery.
West Winds Distillery/Tavern:
To complete your day West Winds Distillery, they have been distilling since 2014. You will indulge and discover gin in a masterclass including a charcuterie board.
