DESCRIPTION
Alkoomi means ‘a place we chose’. Alkoomi was one of the founding wineries of the Frankland River Region and it is the place our family has called home since 1946. It is a perfectly isolated place with the most scenic landscapes, pristine environment, and ideal climate for creating stunning wines that express this special place.
Join us for a private down-to-earth experience to learn about the history, the unique location, and the wines of Alkoomi, with a progressive tasting through the farm. Enjoying the wines right from the source, with some good banter, beautiful views, and a intimate picnic amongst the grass trees.
Starting at the winery, with a glass in hand, we will give you some insight as to how our wine is made, while showing the original winery building from 1979.
The adventure then begins as we take you out in the ute, to explore the farm, from the old homestead and enormous fig tree to some of the first plantings and best views of the property.
Finish off the journey with a private picnic set up in the grass trees, with a bottle of wine and feast. We will leave you here to relax and unwind for 1.5 hours before collecting you to return to the cellar door.
