DESCRIPTION
Experience some of the magnificent resident birds of prey close-up during twice daily Birds of Prey Encounters. Learn about the birds natural behaviours and unique sensory abilities used to track and catch prey. These encounters feature the rare opportunity to have your photograph taken with a barn owl!
Capes Raptor Centre (established as Eagles Heritage) provides the main care and rehabilitation facility for birds of prey in Western Australia. It currently offers a permanent home to over 40 raptors, including Eagles, Hawks, Falcons and Owls which are unable to return to the wild, with many more birds rehabilitated and released each year.
A 1km bush walk among native flora allows visitors to view aviaries housing resident diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey.
Please be punctual, the Birds of Prey Encounters starts on time. You can complete your bush walk before or after the encounter. We are open from 10am to 4pm.
