This fantastic 8 day Pack Free walk showcases the two best walking trails of the South West region of Western Australia… the Cape to Cape and the Bibbulmun tracks. With a combined distance of over 1100kms, to do both walks would normally take around 9 weeks, instead, we have hand-picked the best sections of both tracks to provide you with an inspiring 8-day journey.
Our first 4 days are spent walking the best of the Cape to Cape walk in the Margaret River region, with its timeless landscapes of high limestone cliffs and pretty heathlands. Indulge in superb Margaret River wines as well as local produce and for a truly unforgettable journey, we will pick you up at the end of your walk on the beachfront by helicopter and transport you to Leeuwin Estate winery for a superb lunch with wines.
From here we head to the Karri Valley near Pemberton to start our Bibbulmun walking experience. Experience the tranquillity and beauty of the Karri and Tingle Forest as well as some of Australia’s most magnificent coastline. With such a diversity of landscapes and experiences, the entire South West region is sure to enchant all your senses.

You’ll be delighted by the 5-star Pullman Bunker Bay Resort as soon as you enter the main foyer with its striking stonework perfectly complementing the stunning high pitched wood ceilings. The Resort features impressive ocean views and a spectacular infinity pool, a wonderful location to return to after a day’s walking. The delightful lounge and bar in the main building with their cosy fireplaces are a great place to relax and meet up pre-dinner. Dinners will be a la carte dinner in the Resort’s “Other Side of the Moon” Restaurant featuring modern Australian Cuisine and accompanied by Margaret River wines. Our guests will stay in 2 bedroom villas featuring cathedral ceilings, limestone feature walls timber, floors kitchen, 2 bathrooms lounge and dining area, laundry and a private terrace with garden views.

Flexible Stay available to stay at near motel and save dollars. You will still eat all meals with the remaining guests but travel with the guides each day to the alternative accommodation.
The Karri Valley Resort is positioned on the edge of gorgeous Lake Beedelup and encircled by towering Karri Forest. Dinner will be enjoyed in the Resort Restaurant with stunning views across the lake and featuring wonderful local produce and wines. Wake up to the tranquillity of the forest at this remote nature retreat. Guests will stay in the charming Lakeside Rooms with balconies over the water. Room bedding configurations in each room are one Queen and one single bed.
Ideally located between Walpole and Denmark, the Tree Elle Retreat is the perfect location for our walking itinerary. This boutique accommodation is set amongst beautifully manicured lush gardens and feels like a home away from home. Depending on the total number, our guests will stay in one or both of the below accommodations.

This boutique Retreat is set in the heart of the Southern Wine Region on Mount Shadforth with views across the ocean. With an atmosphere of casual sophistication, this is the ideal location to relax after a day of walking. Our guests will stay in Garden Suites.
Room Configurations: Most suites have queen beds. 1 suite is available with 2 x single beds. Note if we have more single ladies travelling together and require more twin beds we will utilize the Karri Mia Resort next doors which is 20 metres from Chimes.
With so much fabulous local produce available in this area your tastebuds will be enjoying a holiday of their own. From the wines of the Margaret River to locally caught fish from Denmark, you’ll indulge in sensational high-quality local produce that makes this region unique. During our stay at Tree-Elle Retreat, Chef Silas will provide not only an exceptional dinner but a masterclass in cooking, at Walpole we select our own fish for the evening’s dinner from the local family fishermen, whilst in Denmark, we enjoy dinner at the vibrant Boston Brewery. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Whilst on night 5 of our walk, guests will enjoy a superb cooking class with Chef Silas Masih, the renowned owner of local restaurant Pepper and Salt. Silas will join us at our accommodation to provide a master cooking class using local produce to create the evening’s dinner. Enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the master at work as he shares a few of his culinary tricks and secrets.
At Life’s An Adventure we want to make your journey truly inspirational, that’s why we always include ‘Wow Factors’ on every tour. In the Margaret River region, we have included a special helicopter flight to enrich your experience. Our helicopter will meet us on the beach at the end of our walk day 4 and whisk us away for an amazing flight to the famous Leeuwin Estate Winery. On arrival, we will enjoy a fabulous celebratory lunch with Leeuwin Estate wines. If you don’t like flying in helicopters we will discount your tour when you book.

On a Life’s An Adventure walking holiday, we ensure we provide an all-inclusive holiday with no hidden extras. Regional wines are provided to enjoy with every evening meal, transfers from Perth are also included and on our last day, we even include a flight from Albany to Perth so you avoid a long arduous drive back. There’s even no charge for credit card fees when booking.

TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 2 hours and 50 minute transfer from Perth to Injidup to start your walk. Afternoon: 22 minute transfer from end of the trail to our accommodation.
TRAIL DETAILS: 7.5kms. 4 hours walking with breaks. Easy Walk. Grade 2.
WALK ITINERARY: Meet your guides in the foyer of the Holiday Inn Perth CBD for your transfer to Margaret River. Today enjoy a relaxing walk from Injidup to Smiths Beach. Meander past vibrant granite formations, lagoon-like bays and limestone cliffs. Take in the remarkable Canal Rocks and the numerous picturesque lookouts, while you wander through scenic bushland. Upon arrival at beautiful Smiths Beach, you will be met by our representative and enjoy a short transfer to our accommodation for the next three nights at the superb Pullman Bunker Bay Resort. Enjoy free time to take a swim in the infinity pool or relax in our villa before joining the group for dinner in the charming Other Side of the Moon Restaurant, enjoy a la carte dining accompanied with Margaret River regional wines. A great way to finish the day.

TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 5 minute transfer from the accommodation to the start of your walk. Afternoon: 22 minute transfer from the end of the trail to our accommodation.
TRAIL DETAILS: 16kms. 8 hours wih breaks. Medium walk. Grade 3.
WALK ITINERARY: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out from our accommodation to start our walk. Today’s walk will take you from Cape Naturaliste lighthouse back to Smiths. You will start off at the beautiful cliff-top scenery of Cape Naturaliste and meander towards the spectacular panoramas of Sugar Loaf Rock. Sugar Loaf Rock is a remarkable granite island-like rock formation situated in the ocean and it is the summer residence for red-tailed tropic birds. The coast mainly exists of the limestone cliffs, short beaches and low rocky areas. After continuing form Sugar Loaf Rock you will carry on towards the coastal hamlet of Yallingup while strolling along an extended section of carved limestone sea cliffs. After Yallingup, you will wander over the granite headland at Torpedo Rock before reaching the legendary Smiths Beach. Return to our accommodation with time to relax. Tonight we enjoy a sensational dinner at a local winery, accompanied by wonderful wines from the estate.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 30 minute transfer from the accommodation to the start of your walk. Afternoon: 40 minute transfer from the end of the trail to our accommodation.
TRAIL DETAILS: 13kms. 6.5 hours with breaks. Medium walk. Grade 3.
WALK ITINERARY: After a lovely breakfast, we transfer to the start of our walk at Moses Rock. Today our walk will take us from Moses Rock to Grace Town. During this walk, you will marvel at the glorious panoramas of the coast from cliff-top lookouts and the looming granite-gneiss of Wilyabrup. You will pass through the low heath and low granite headland, known as Whaleback. Before reaching Gracetown, you will wander through an enchanting section with lichen-covered rocks and heaps of pink fairy orchids in spring. Afterwards, enjoy a short transfer back to the Pullman Bunker Bay Resort. Enjoy free time before catching up with fellow passengers for a superb dinner including local wines.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 55 minute transfer from the accommodation to the start of your walk. Afternoon: 1 hr 30 minute transfer from Leeuwin Estate to accommodation in Pemberton.
TRAIL DETAILS: 6kms. 3 hours with break. Easy walk. Grade 2.
WALK ITINERARY: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before we head out for our walk. Today we start at the favourite local surfing and fishing spot, the historic Redgate Beach. During the walk, we enjoy beautiful views in both directions from granite outcrops and we might even spot some kangaroos. The walk from Bob’s Hollow to Contos is possibly the most impressive section of the Cape to Cape Track, with breathtaking panoramas north and south. A helicopter will be waiting for us on the beach at the end of our walk. From the sand, we’ll whisk you away for an impressive transfer us to the famous Leeuwin Estate. Along the way, we can appreciate stunning aerial views of the coastline. We arrive above a beautiful Karri forest into Leeuwin Estate we will enjoy a magnificent lunch overlooking the stunning gardens and forest of the estate. After lunch we farewell our Cape to Cape walk and head to Pemberton to the start of our Bibbulmun walking section of our holiday. Tonight we spend the night at the Karri Valley Resort situated on pretty Lake Beedelup and surrounded by magnificent Karri Forest. Tonight enjoy dinner in the restaurant with stunning views across the lake.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 8 minute transfer from accommodation to the trail. Followed by 1 hour and 45-minute transfer to the Giant Tingle Tree. Afternoon: 18 minute transfer from our the end of our walk to the accommodation.
TRACK DETAILS: 11kms. 5.5 hours with breaks. Medium walk. Grade 2
WALK ITINERARY: Wake up and enjoy a hearty breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the lake. This morning we walk a small section of the Bibbulmun track near our accommodation to pretty Beedelup falls. Marvel at the beautiful Karri forest, bird life and the series of rocky cascades of the falls. Afterwards, we continue on to the Giant Tingle Tree for the main walk of the day from through the Tingle Forest to Sappers Bridge. Would you believe the world’s largest forests are here! Our walk starts at the Giant Tingle Tree, a colossal buttressed eucalyptus tree with a hollowed-out base. While wandering through the Valley of the Giants, you will be amazed by the magnificent trees. The star of the Valley of the Giants is the red tingle tree. The red tingle tree is the biggest buttressing eucalypt with a base that can have a circumference of up to 20m. The karri tree is the tallest tree in Western Australia and the third tallest tree in the world. You will also wander past the yellow tingle trees and the marri trees. Afterwards, we head to our accommodation at the charming Tree Elle Retreat set in beautifully manicured gardens. This charming accommodation is like a home away from home. Tonight as a special treat Chef Silas Masih will visit us at the accommodation of a master cooking class. Sit back with a glass of wine as Silas prepares dinner and provides some tricks and secrets to cooking fabulous meals. Afterwards, enjoy dinner include regional wines from the area.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 13 minute transfer from accommodation to the trail. Afternoon: 10 minute transfer from the end of our walk to the accommodation.
TRACK DETAILS: 16kms. 8 hours with breaks. Medium walk. Grade 3
WALK ITINERARY: Enjoy breakfast before we head out. Today’s part of the trail explores the stunning coastline from Conspicuous Beach to Peaceful Bay. From Conspicuous Beach we meander along the limestone cliffs and granite headlands towards the top of Conspicuous Cliffs, where you can witness the breathtaking views of the coastal heathland containing swamp paperbark and the red flowering gum. We will end the days walk at the stunning Peaceful Bay. Peaceful Bay is a perfect place for a swim or to merely enjoy the astonishing coastline overlooking William Bay National Park. At Peaceful Bay we meet the local family fishermen and choose our fresh fish for tonight’s evening meal. (Other dinner options will be available for those who do not like fish). We head back to our accommodation at Tree Elle Retreat for dinner served with some wonderful South West Regional wines.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 29 minute transfer from accommodation to the trail. Afternoon: 31 minute transfer from the end of our walk to the accommodation.
TRACK DETAILS: 18kms. 9 hours with breaks. medium
WALK ITINERARY: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before today’s walk will take you from Shelley Beach to Lowlands Beach. The walk will start at the stunning and powerful Shelley Beach. The beach is bordered by densely vegetated granite boulders. You will walk towards Lowlands Beach, which is an isolated beach surrounded by dune-draped slopes covered in vegetation. A freshwater creek flows across the beautiful white sand of the beach. The platforms at Lowlands Beach offer stunning views of the cliffs and sometimes even dolphins or whales. Afterwards, we head to our accommodation is at the charming Chimes Spa Resort set high on Mount Shadworth with distant views of the ocean. Tonight with enjoy a special celebratory dinner at Castille Winery featuring wonderful local produce and wines.
TRANSFER TIMES: Morning: 18 minute transfer from accommodation to the trail. Afternoon: 54 minute transfer from the Lakehouse Restaurant to Albany to join flight back to Perth.
TRACK DETAILS: 8kms. 4 hours walking with breaks. Easy walk with Grade 2.
WALK ITINERARY: Enjoy breakfast before heading out to the last of our walks. Today’s walk takes us from Elephant Rocks to Monkey Rock. We start our journey at magnificent Elephant Rocks. The huge granite boulders of Elephant Rocks resemble a herd of elephants bathing in the shallow waters of the sea. The track then meanders past enormous granite rocks before reaching the lovely Lights Beach. From Lights Beach, we wander towards Monkey Rock, where spectacular views over William Bay National Park and Ratcliffe Bay are awaiting. After admiring the gorgeous views, we head to the charming Lakehouse Restaurant in Denmark for a delightful lunch overlooking the lake with local produce. Afterwards, we head to Albany where you will join your 5.25 pm flight back to Perth arriving at 6.35 pm. The end of a remarkable journey.
